Earlier today, Class 7 began their R.E topic 'Islam and Christianity' by handling religious artefacts from both religions. They delved straight in by asking some very thought provoking questions about what there was on their table:
- What do we use the cross for?
- What do Christian's use the Bible for?
- Where did Islam start?
- How long are Muslim prayers?
- Why do Muslim's pray on colourful mats?
The knowledge that the children had was impressive and everyone was extremely respectful when handling the artefacts and asking others about them.

Year 3 Parent Partners
On Wednesday, Year 3 parents were invited to take part in an exciting cross-curricular Art and Topic lesson.
To end our unit on the Romans, we made our very own mosaics using coloured material onto card. We first learnt about the different patterns and mythological scenes that the Romans might have chosen for their mosaic and then how they made it.
We used Roman patterns to inspire our own mosaic design, thinking about the importance of symmetry.
Thank you to all the parents that were able to join in. We hope you enjoyed it.
